Meet our current teacher-

Stacey Hobbs- Stacy Hobbs is a guitarist who has been teaching, recording, and performing live for the past 44 years. John Renbourn says, “Stacy plays some great stuff, do give him a listen”, Tim Reynolds (of Dave Matthews fame) upon hearing at a local coffee shop, says –  “sounds great!”, Tosin says, “you’re phenomenal!” …He has recorded 8 CD’s of instrumental music and has enjoyed performing all across the country (US).  His latest passion is a renewed interest in imparting guitar skills onto unsuspecting students, lol. Seriously, he has retired from the insurance gig and looks forward to performing and teaching full-time once again!

Stacy has always enjoyed giving music lessons, whether it be guitar, mandolin, or  harp guitar and says “seeing students progress –  or just really get something, and you see that look on their face – those are the moments making teaching special and fulfilling.”

With over a decade of teaching experience previously at Fret Mill Music, Stacy rejoins our teaching staff after 15 years of living out of state. Welcome back!

Stacy covers roots music, rock-n-roll, and contemporary fingerstyle guitar and also caters to the students’ particular interests and passions! He’ll assist in exploring alternate tunings with you and have you playing bottleneck guitar in no time!

Sign up today with Stacy and take your playing to new levels!!

Stacy offers beginner through advanced guitar lessons, beginner through intermediate mandolin lessons and beginning claw- hammer banjo lessons
